I lived in Berlin during the time of the Berlin wall. This wall is compared a lot with the wall or fence Sharon is building now. I could tell a lot about the realitiy af the Berlin wall to make it easier to compare the two walls. The Berlin wall was only a wall in heavily populated areas and because Berlin is densly populated it was mostly a wall. But in other parts it was only a "fence". The Sharon wall seems to be much higher than the berlin Wall. 4 meter Berlin wall - 8 meters Sharon's wall. The Berlin wall was build only. on the territory of the country, that built it (East Germany) and not one meter on the land of the country, that was to be cut off. There were even parts of the territory of east Germany the were left before the wall, because on some places it was easier to build it straight and leave some east german territory on the "western" side of the wall. I could also tell like most people, who lived in West-Berlin in that time, about the humiliating procedure to cross the wall to visit family or friends on the other side, if one was allowed so. بالفعل جدار هو الاسم المألوف بالنسبة لي، قمت بانشاء تحويلة مبدئيا، اذا كان رأي باقي الاعضاء ان كلمة جدار اصح، ممكن ان نبادل بين الصفحتين. --أيمن
