بشير نافع هو أكاديمي وباحث, يعتبر من أهم المفكرين الإسلاميين الذين ظهروا في العالم الإسلامي والعربي في العقدين الأخرىن. والذين أسهموا بشكل فعال وجلي في الحركة الفكرية والسياسية فلسطينيآ وعربيآ وإسلاميآ بل وعالميآ.

- ولد في التاسع من إكتوبر من عام 1952م,

مناصبه[عدل]

- من عام 1976 - 1979: عمل كمفتش أول للصحة العامة والطب الوقائي، في وزارة الصحة العامة، في أبوظبي، في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.

- من عام 1979-1982: كان معيدا في جامعة القاهرة.

- انتقل بعد تلك المدة إلى بريطانيا, وعمل عضوآ في هيئة تحرير مجلة الطليعة الإسلامية، وهى مجلة شهرية تصدر في لندن، وكان عضوآ في مجلس إدارتها حتى عام 1986.

- من عام 1983-1987: كان مدرس في كلية كنغز كوليج في جامعة لندن,

- من عام 1990-1994: كان مديرا قسم الدراسات والبحوث في "مركز دراسات الإسلام والعالم":

وعرف المركز مختصرآ باسم (WISE), تيمنآ بكلمة وايز الإنجليزية التي تعني الحكمة بالعربية. وهو مؤسسة فكرية ضمن المراكز والمعاهد البحثية التابعة لجامعة جنوب فلوريدا في ولاية فلوريدا الأمريكية, وعرف المركز بإقامة الندوات ونشر الدراسات، وإصدار دورية علمية متميزة (وكان د. نافع رئيس تحريرها) تحت عنوان:"قراءات سياسية" وتوقفت عن الصدور في نهاية 1995 م. في عام 1996م رجع إلى بريطانيا التي يقيم فيها حتى يومنا هذا.
