الليمس
[عدل]يتم استخدام كلمة الليمس أحيانًا من قِبل علماء العصر الحديث للدلالة على حدود الإمبراطورية الرومانية ولكن لم يتم استخدامها من قبل الرومان على هذا النحو. بعد القرن الثالث، كان مصطلحًا إداريًا، يشير إلى منطقة عسكرية، يقودها إحدي dux limitis .[3]
