WHAT IS THE SCAPE PLATFORM?

The Saudi Critical Care Pharmacy Research (SCAPE) platform is a unique research platform in Saudi Arabia established on October 7th, 2021 as the first pharmacists-led multidisciplinary collaborative research model in the region. SCAPE Platform's vision is to fortify a collaborative research culture that involves actively constructing, establishing networks, mentoring, empowering, facilitating, and fostering the exchange of research ideas among Saudi Arabian and international researchers. The platform plays a pivotal role in empowering trainees, students, and junior researchers by enabling them to actively participate and engage in a multitude of research endeavors. By providing opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing, the SCAPE Platform plays a crucial role in strengthening the research community in Saudi Arabia and supporting the nation's commitment to building a robust research culture as outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.

WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF THE SCAPE PLATFORM?

Cultivating a research-oriented culture aims to encourage and foster multidisciplinary collaborative research endeavors actively with the ultimate goal of enhancing patients’ outcomes.

Improve the quality of clinical research by allowing for networking, collaborating, and providing assistance through this platform.

Empower students, trainees, and junior researchers and nurture their skills to foster their research careers as independent, highly qualified researchers.

Facilitate multidisciplinary research through collaboration between this platform and clinicians from different disciplines and perspectives at national and international levels.

Publish high-quality research papers in peer-reviewed journals in order to create knowledge that can be translated to improve patient outcomes.

To serve as a model for effective collaboration among clinicians and researchers in our region and beyond.

Saudi Society for Multidisciplinary Research Development and Education established and approved by the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development in 03 February 2024. It is established by sixteen founders from multidisciplinary medical specialties who are enthusiastic do developing a research culture and committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible.  The SCAPE Society is built upon a strong foundation of core values and pillars that guide its mission and operations. These values and pillars are: Empowerment, Collaboration, Motivation, Development, Commitment, Credibility and Integrity.

  The SCAPE Narrative Review serves as a valuable resource for researchers seeking to conduct comprehensive reviews in several and important topics across various specialties, ensuring that the unfolding of research in particular traditions is accurately portrayed.

• SCAPE IDEAS BANK:
  The SCAPE Ideas Bank serves as a repository for research ideas. These ideas are discussed during the monthly board meeting and reviewed by a scientific committee. If a research idea is found to be feasible, interesting, novel, ethical, and relevant, SCAPE offers to provide resources to execute the idea until publication, while ensuring the rights of the idea's owner are upheld.
