About me
I lead strategic messaging, media relations, and product outreach for the Wikimedia Foundation. Our goal is to help the world understand, learn about, and share in Wikipedia and the free knowledge community that makes it possible. I'm passionate about the power of free information and truth in its many forms.
My background is in digital media and communications, with a focus on technology-related storytelling. Before joining the WMF, I led communications for the data analytics company GoodData. Earlier, I helped consumer and enterprise technology clients tell their stories with the Horn Group, a tech PR agency in New York and San Francisco. Earlier in my career, I worked at Forbes Media, where I was the Executive Coordinator for the President and CEO, and Market Research Analyst. I also contributed to Forbes.com on a variety of topics, including innovation and the intersection of technology and media.
I received my Bachelors of Arts from Wellesley College in Massachusetts, where I graduated with honors and degree in International Relations and French. Learning and knowledge has always guided my life, and I feel privileged to serve a community that stands for that! I look forward to working with you.
My work
I'm responsible for the WMF's strategic messaging about the Wikimedia projects and communities, as well as media relations and product-focused audience development. I work with my incredible team to help the world understand how Wikipedia works, why it matters, and the importance of community. I see collaboration with community members as a critical part of our storytelling efforts, and I am always looking for new ways to collaborate with the broader movement!
