تنكو علم شاه تمنغكونغ أو تنكو علي إسكندر شاه أحد أمراء سلالة بندهارا في سلطنة جوهر،[1] وكان الابن الأكبر للسلطان علي إسكندر شاه سلطان جوهر التاسع عشر من زوجته الثانية. وبعد وفاة والده في عام 1877، كان من المفترض أن يصبح سلطانًا خلفا لبيه، لكنه اصطدم بالمهراجا أبو بكر، الذي خشي من تعرض منصبه السياسي للتهديد. وفي 1879 اندلعت حرب أهلية قصيرة في جيمنتا، وانتصر عليه أبو بكر.[2][3][4]
عاد تنكو علم شاه إلى سنغافورة وعاش سنواته المتبقية بهدوء حتى توفي عام 1891.[5] وكان يُعامل على إنه كبير الأسرة المالكة، وأحيانًا يتولى الشؤون الإدارية المتعلقة بالأسرة المالكة.[6]
