معركة عيون قارة[1] هي معركة وقعت في 14 نوفمبر 1917 وذلك خلال حملة فلسطين وسيناء كجزء من الحرب العالمية الأولي ، كانت المعركة بين قوات نيوزيلندا من جانب وقوة من الجيش الثامن في الدولة العثمانية من جانب اخر.[2]

بعد نجاحهم في معارك بئر السبع وغزة وجبل المغارة كانت قوة المشاة المصرية تتابع القوات العثمانية المنسحبة نحو الشمال الي جانب النيوزيلنديون، وهم جزء من الفرقة الأسترالية النيوزلنديه، وأثناء اتجاه القوات النيوزلنديه نحو ريشون لتسيون (عيون قارة)، وعندما كانت علي بعد 9 ميل (14 كـم) جنوب يافا ، واجهوا العثمانيون على حافة الكثبان الرملية إلى الغرب من قرية عيون قارة ، كانت القوات العثمانية تتألف من حوالي 1500 جندي مشاة، تدعمهم المدافع الرشاشة والمدفعية.[3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9][10][11]

بدأت المعركة في فترة ما بعد الظهر وعلى الرغم من المدفعية التركية ونيران المدافع الرشاشة والهجمات على المشاة، ولكن النيوزيلنديون قاتلوا في طريقهم إلى الأمام، انتصر النيوزيلنديون في المعركة مع خسائر تقدر بنحو 44 قتيلاً و 81 جريحًا، بينما كانت الخسائر التركية 182 قتيلاً وعدد غير معروف من الجرحى، وبحلول تلك الليلة تراجع العثمانيون بشكل كامل.[10][11] [9][12] [13]
